John Chedzey

   Another name for John was Chedzoy, Chiddy, Chidgey.

  General Notes:

The 1841 Census shows John lodging with or living next next door to Thomas & Mary Board - ie presumably his Aunt Mary
The 1851 Census shows John lodging with brother-in-law Martin Osbourne, and his wife Susanna who was born in Stogursey abt 1809. A Susanna Chidzey was born in 1809 to Richard & Mary Chidzey. The strong implication is that John & Susanna's mother was sometimes known as Joan and sometimes as Mary. There are 3 other children born between 1811 & 1816 to Richard & Mary, then Mary Ann and John recorded to Richard & Joan, and then a final one born in 1826 recorded to Richard & Mary.

John married Louisa Jennings, daughter of Unknown and Elizabeth Jennings, Not Married. (Louisa Jennings was born in 1824 in North Petherton.)

John next married Harriet about 1860. (Harriet was born about 1826 in Stogursey, Somerset.)
